Research cutoff: July 18, 2026. This note synthesizes all 30 linked 2026-27 NBA fantasy team index dossiers and should be read beside 2026-27 NBA minutes projections and 2026-27 fantasy basketball rankings.
Reading the board
- F means the underlying roster, contract, transaction or medical state is sourced as a fact through the cutoff.
- I means the ordering, lineup, minute split or fantasy consequence is this desk's inference.
- F→I means a sourced fact creates an inferred role consequence. Every minute split below is a projection, even when the trigger is factual.
- Baseline split is the healthy-night allocation in the team note unless explicitly labeled season-weighted, conditional or trade branch. A
0means outside the base rotation, not zero expected appearances. - Confidence grades the current ordering, not the player's talent: High is robust without a new event, Medium has a real challenger, and Low is a genuine camp, health or transaction fork.
- Beneficiary names the player whose fantasy draft price moves most if the catalyst hits; it is not necessarily the projected winner today.

Monitoring protocol
- Transactions first: re-run the affected team's exact 240-minute table after every signing, match, trade, waiver or conversion; do not merely add the newcomer on top.
- Medical ladder: upgrade only on concrete progression—running, non-contact, contact, five-on-five, preseason appearance, unrestricted games—rather than optimistic target dates.
- Camp evidence: log starters, first substitutions and repeated closing groups. One lineup is weak evidence; three or more consistent uses are actionable.
- Role evidence: distinguish who starts from who closes, and active-night minutes from season-weighted minutes. Fantasy value follows minutes, usage and category rates, not the lineup card alone.
- Reconciliation: after a battle resolves, update the linked team note and every affected player dossier before changing consensus ranks.
Open questions
- Which side, if either, completes the held Leonard–Ingram/Dick transaction, and are the terms unchanged?
- Where do Harden, Green, Watson, Duren and Mathurin sign, and which deals require outgoing salary or depth?
- Which five Grizzlies, three Hornets, two Bucks and any additional over-limit players are removed before opening night?
- Which medical returns receive unrestricted five-on-five clearance first: Irving, Lively, Haliburton, Lillard, VanVleet, Butler, Moody or DiVincenzo?
- Which teams publish or reveal explicit back-to-back and opening-month caps for veteran stars and recovering players?
- Does New Orleans actually start Missi, and which center closes alongside or instead of Williamson and Queen?
- Can Boston's young wings claim stable rotation shares before Tatum and George are fully available?
- Do Houston, Dallas, Denver, Portland, Washington or the Lakers complete the consolidation trades their current minute trees invite?
- Which rookies win genuine top-eight roles rather than conditional appearance minutes?
- Which two-way and Exhibit 10 decisions create real injury-handcuff value after final roster compliance?
- Which preseason closing groups repeat often enough to change the current confidence grades?
