Career record

Pre-NBA: Born 2003-12-12 in Monthey, Switzerland; won a Swiss U16 title in 2016, then moved to France for four seasons in the Élan Chalon system (2019-2023). His last pre-college year, 2022-23 with the Chalon U21 side, produced 17.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.4 steals per game and first-team All-U21 Espoirs Pro B honors. One college season followed at Miami (FL) in 2023-24: 31 games, 16 starts, 23.0 MPG, 7.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.7 threes on .426/.408 shooting, opening as a reserve and moving into the starting lineup midseason when injuries thinned the rotation. He declared on 2024-04-25 after that single season. Draft: 2024, round 1, pick 24, New York Knicks — traded on draft night to Washington, with New York moving down to picks 26 and 51.

Three-point percentage, which the table does not carry, moved .322 to .381 between the two seasons.

Fantasy history: Season-end 9-category ranks from a rank provider (Basketball Monster / Hashtag / ESPN Player Rater) were not verifiable for this entry, so no per-season numbers are asserted. What the box score supports: 2024-25 was not a fantasy-relevant season in categories, because .372 from the field on rotation volume is a percentage drag large enough to cancel the 1.0 steals and 1.7 threes. 2025-26 is a different profile entirely and the reason he appears in this book — the line has no zero categories, with threes, assists, and 1.9 combined stocks alongside field-goal and free-throw percentages that both moved from liability to neutral-or-better. The one negative is turnovers, which nearly doubled to 2.6. Points leagues grade him slightly worse than categories do, because the balance that makes him useful across nine columns is exactly what a single-number format flattens; his raw volume is still that of a low-end starter, not a scorer.

Durability: GP by season — 68, 48. The rookie year lost 14 games to assorted short absences rather than one event. 2025-26 is the season that matters: he opened on 2025-10-24 against Dallas with a career-high 34 points, missed at least one game to illness in late November, and last played on 2026-03-02 against Houston, the game in which he tore the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow. The tear was diagnosed 2026-03-04 and initially timed at three weeks; Washington treated it conservatively, extended the absence week by week, and confirmed on 2026-04-02 that he was done for the season. The individual causes of the earlier scattered absences are not documented in sources I could verify. Return evidence is good: he was back in the Wizards facility on 2026-05-04 for offseason work and played for Canada in the FIBA World Cup qualifying window starting 2026-07-03, including 21 minutes and nine points against Puerto Rico. Nothing here is chronic — a conservatively treated non-throwing-arm UCL is a one-off, not a recurring risk profile.

Trajectory: The 2025-26 jump is the rare one that survives a per-36 check. Minutes rose only 26.5 to 29.0, about nine percent, while scoring rose seventy percent — per 36 minutes that is 11.8 points to 18.4, with assists moving 3.4 to 5.6. This was a usage and shot-quality change, not a playing-time change, and the entire shooting profile moved with it: field goal .372 to .438, three-point .322 to .381, free throw .753 to .802. That combination — more shots and better conversion at the same time — is the signature of a genuine skill step rather than a hot sample, though 48 games is a small enough sample that some regression in the percentages should be priced in. He is 22 turning 23 in December, entering year three, which is the standard consolidation window for a first-round wing and well ahead of any aging concern. The risk for 2026-27 is not the player, it is the depth chart: the assists and the on-ball reps that generated the leap came from a Washington team with no established creator, and Trae Young plus AJ Dybantsa arriving removes exactly those possessions. The scoring rate and the threes should port; the 4.5 assists are the number most likely to fall back toward three.
