How to use this board
This is 12-team, nine-category redraft, with turnovers counted and value shown primarily per game. The # column preserves the mechanical order in the normalized projection snapshot; it is a reference coordinate, not a claim that No. 37 must be drafted before No. 38. Players may move freely within a tier based on build, platform eligibility, injury tolerance, games caps, and category need.
The category transform uses projected 3PM, PTS, REB, AST, STL, BLK, FG impact, FT impact, and inverted TO. Ratio impact is still less mature than counting-stat projections because some dossiers lack projected attempts; volume-sensitive ratio outliers should therefore be checked in the dossier before paying the displayed rank.
Reading the compact codes
- Position shape:
G,G/W,F,F/C, andCare broad draft-room archetypes, not a promise of Yahoo, ESPN, Fantrax, or Sleeper eligibility. - Category shape:
+lists the player's clearest projected wins;−lists material drains.balancedmeans no category crosses this sheet's strong-drain threshold, not that the player is above average everywhere. - Risk:
H= meaningful health/availability risk;H!= extreme availability tail;M= fragile or sub-25-minute role;Tx= contract/team uncertainty;Rk= 2026 rookie translation;Age= age/maintenance;Pct= ratio or punt dependence. A blank code does not mean zero risk. - Tot. rank (Δ): availability-adjusted totals rank from the same model.
↓8is an eight-place totals penalty;↑4is a four-place totals boost. The adjustment uses projected games and is not raw 82-game multiplication.
Tier 1 — independent league-winning engines
These four supply enough category mass to dictate a build without forcing an early punt. Team construction, not a one-slot argument, decides their order.
| # | Player | Position and category shape | Risk | Tot. rank (Δ) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Nikola Jokić | C · +AST/PTS/REB · −TO | — | 1 (—) |

Tier 2 — first-round anchors with a build or availability lever
This group can finish first-round per game, but Kessler is a ratio/blocks build outlier, Tatum and Curry need medical tolerance, and Haliburton carries post-Achilles uncertainty. Treat No. 5-12 as a decision set, not a queue.

Tier 3 — turn anchors
The safest selections here provide an elite scarce category without destroying two others. Giannis, LaMelo, and Scottie are especially build-sensitive; Cunningham and Jalen Johnson are premium assist engines at nonstandard size.

Tier 4 — early-round cores and calculated medical bets
The per-game ceiling remains high, but this is where availability and model-shape disagreements become draft-defining. Embiid's No. 30 is a rate coordinate, not a recommended third-round pick in every league; White and Knueppel gain substantially in totals.

Tier 5 — multi-category starters and strong build shapers
This is the largest dependable starter pool. Managers should leave it with the scarce category their first picks lack: Harden/Quickley for assists, Clingan/Ware/Edey for big-man stats, Sheppard/Daniels for steals, or Boozer for rookie upside.

Tier 6 — build shapers, role bets, and category specialists
The gap between No. 66 and No. 95 is smaller than the roster-construction gap between their archetypes. Take the needed category; do not draft a name merely because it sits eight lines higher.

Tier 7 — middle-round structure and upside swings
These players often win only two or three categories, so fit matters more than standalone rank. The centers can solve blocks/FG while creating FT or role problems; the guards can solve assists/threes while giving back FG or defensive production.

Tier 8 — late-round specialists and developmental bets
This tier starts beyond the normal 12-team starting lineup. Draft for a specific function or upside mechanism: Morant/Black/Nembhard for assists, Eason/Camara for steals, Washington/Watson for blocks, rookies for role growth, or Joe/Monk for threes.

Tier 9 — top-200 fringe, deep specialists, and streaming queue
These are not automatic 12-team holds. Draft them only when the category or contingency is explicit; otherwise treat the group as the first waiver-wire watch list. Totals penalties become especially important because small roles and missed games can erase excellent rates.

Draft-room adjustment rules
- Games caps or strong injury slots: Pull high-rate
H/H!players upward; raw totals penalties matter less. In weekly lock leagues or shallow benches, move them down. - Punt FT: Giannis, Thompson, Gobert, Daniels, Mobley, Clingan, Kessler, Şengün, and several centers can jump a tier. Do not call the punt complete after one player; protect threes and guard stats.
- Punt FG: High-volume guards gain, especially Ball, Harden, Young, VanVleet, and Brown Jr.; retain rebounds/blocks elsewhere.
- Scarcity: Assists dry up faster than points and threes. Blocks remain available late, but late blockers often carry FT, minutes, or injury taxes.
- Rookies:
Rkmeans widen the role and rate distribution. Summer League can confirm on-ball reps or physical readiness; it should not turn a shooting streak into a stable percentage projection. - No current ADP: The July market desk found no defensible public post-draft 2026-27 redraft ADP set. This sheet is a value board, not a prediction of where rooms will select players.
Source and methodology boundary
The order and totals movement were taken from the 2026-07-18 2026-27 fantasy basketball player projections snapshot and its machine-readable export, which normalize all completed team-desk dossier cards. Role, medical, rookie, contract, and transaction flags come from the linked player dossiers and the current research desks. Public rankings remain comparison evidence rather than silent numerical inputs; see Major fantasy media, 2026-27 fantasy basketball social and community ledger, Rookies and dynasty desk, and ADP and draft market desk.
This board will become stale when a material injury, trade, signing, camp role, or projection-input correction changes the underlying dossiers. Update the projections first, then regenerate the rank coordinate and reconsider the tier—not the other way around.
Open questions
- Which projected FG and FT attempts should be added before treating ratio-driven outliers such as Kessler, White, and several low-volume centers as precise ranks?
- Which platforms will grant multi-position eligibility that meaningfully changes replacement value?
- When will a credible post-draft 2026-27 ADP or full public category board provide a clean market comparison?
- Which camp and preseason roles move rookies or sub-25-minute specialists across tier boundaries?
