Hashtag Basketball

As of July 18, Hashtag Basketball had current expert and crowdsourced dynasty products, but no public season-labelled 2026-27 redraft ranking or statistical projection set; almost every other NBA tool still exposed 2025-26 data.

Hashtag's pages are dynamic. Crowd vote totals, values, teams, and ranks can change without a stable public edition history. All numbers in this note are therefore dated extraction snapshots, not permanent citations.

Genuinely forward material

Joseph Mamone's expert dynasty board

The July 2 expert board is Hashtag's cleanest public forward source. It can be filtered by overall, contending, rebuilding, rookies, or points-league rank; by the next three or five seasons; by Yahoo or Fantrax position; and by team. Those controls establish a multi-season dynasty horizon. They do not establish a 2026-27 games-played, minutes, or stat-line forecast.

The default overall board opened with:

Rank Player Forward-use note
1 Victor Wembanyama Expert dynasty rank
2 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Expert dynasty rank
3 Luka Dončić Expert dynasty rank
4 Nikola Jokić Mamone explicitly framed the age discount as the reason he was below the three younger peers, not statistical decline.
5 Cade Cunningham Expert dynasty rank
6 Cooper Flagg Expert dynasty rank
7 Tyrese Maxey Expert dynasty rank
8 Anthony Edwards Expert dynasty rank
9 Jalen Johnson Expert dynasty rank
10 Cameron Boozer New 2026 rookie entry; no NBA stat line was attached.

The board had begun integrating the 2026 class: Cameron Boozer was No. 10, Darryn Peterson No. 18, AJ Dybantsa No. 29, Caleb Wilson No. 41, Mikel Brown Jr. No. 54, Darius Acuff Jr. No. 55, Keaton Wagler No. 58, Kingston Flemings No. 77, and Brayden Burries No. 79. These are long-horizon asset opinions, not redraft rankings or rookie-year projections. The rookie entries display empty 2025-26 and 2024-25 NBA rows rather than invented stats.

For veterans, the numerical columns under each dynasty rank are explicitly labelled 2025-26 Season and 2024-25 Season. Those columns are historical support for the forward opinion. They must never be copied into a 2026-27 projection table.

The page supplies short editorial outlooks for many players, but it does not publish a reproducible dynasty formula, aging curve, games model, discount rate, league depth, roster construction, or uncertainty interval. Treat the rank as Mamone's expert opinion under the selectable horizon—not as a transparent model output.

Crowdsourced dynasty market

The Keeper page reported 196,650 votes at extraction and said it updates daily. Its top five were Wembanyama, Flagg, Jokić, Gilgeous-Alexander, and Dončić. This is useful as a live dynasty-market signal distinct from Mamone's expert list.

The source itself warned that the 2026 draft class was still being loaded and needed a few days to normalize. The table simultaneously contained named 2026 rookies and generic assets such as 2026 Draft (Pick 1), 2026 Draft (Pick 2), and later pick bands. For example, the generic No. 1 pick asset remained tenth overall while named rookies were also present. The board was therefore in a transitional, potentially duplicative state on July 18.

The site does not explain publicly how pairwise votes become the displayed VALUE, how old votes decay, how duplicate or strategic votes are handled, or what league settings voters are imagining. Use the crowd board as market sentiment with a timestamp, not a projection or consensus probability.

Drafter is not safely season-labelled

Drafter reported 9,030 votes and a July 18 update. Its top five were Wembanyama, Jokić, Dončić, Anthony Davis, and Trae Young. For Cleveland it showed Donovan Mitchell No. 12, Evan Mobley No. 43, Jarrett Allen No. 48, and Jaylon Tyson No. 342.

The page never declares a scoring format, league depth, per-game versus totals basis, or season horizon. It also retained materially stale teams: James Harden was No. 16 as a Clipper and Darius Garland No. 51 as a Cavalier, while Hashtag's July dynasty pages showed Harden with Cleveland and Garland with the Clippers. Other entries likewise reflected older rosters. Drafter can be retained only as an ambiguous crowd-preference snapshot; it is not verified 2026-27 redraft evidence.

Dynasty trade calculator

The public dynasty calculator says it blends Hashtag's expert dynasty ranks with the crowdsourced dynasty ranks. That makes it directionally forward-looking. Its searchable player pool included 2026 rookies and many current July affiliations, but it also retained stale Cleveland names and teams—including Dean Wade and Larry Nance Jr. as Cavaliers on July 18. No public formula explains the blend or the adjustment for unequal player counts. Any calculator result should be stored with the exact inputs and extraction time and checked against the authoritative roster ledger.

Cleveland dynasty snapshot

The following is what the two current dynasty boards displayed at extraction. Expert is Mamone's default overall order; Crowd is the live Keeper order. These are different constructs and should not be averaged mechanically.

Player Expert overall Crowd rank Crowd value Interpretation
Evan Mobley 16 19 1,871 Both boards treated him as Cleveland's leading long-term asset; the attached 18.2/9.0/3.6 line was 2025-26 history.
Donovan Mitchell 19 26 1,790 Expert and crowd both kept him inside the top 30 despite age relative to the first dynasty tier.
James Harden 62 67 1,461 A win-now veteran rank, not evidence of 2026-27 contract status or availability.
Jarrett Allen 107 94 1,368 Crowd was modestly higher than the expert board.
Jaylon Tyson 165 507 956 The 342-rank gap is a genuine expert-versus-crowd disagreement worth preserving, not resolving by average.
Max Strus 198 498 972 Deep dynasty depth only on both boards.
Dennis Schröder 310 652 697 Deep win-now depth; crowd list still attached Cleveland.
Nae'Qwan Tomlin 336 Not listed — Expert board included him, but the crowd page search returned no matching entry.
Sam Merrill 338 548 900 Specialist depth; historical shooting columns are not forward projections.
Meleek Thomas 355 352 1,038 Newly loaded 2026 rookie; the crowd page's normalization warning applies directly.

This table should be refreshed rather than overwritten if the class normalizes or the roster changes. A dated series would be more useful than silently replacing the July 18 snapshot.

Player-page inconsistencies

The live player pages did not always agree with the board pages:

The cause of the profile/board differences is not documented. It may involve different forecast settings, caches, or asynchronous crowd updates, but that is an inference—not a verified explanation. Cite the exact page, setting, and access time whenever a rank matters.

Strictly 2025-26 retrospective material

Everything in this section is useful only as an historical baseline or a record of the previous market. It is not 2026-27-forward output.

Completed-season category and points ranks

The April 13 public default tables placed the central 2025-26 Cavaliers as follows:

Player 2025-26 category rank 2025-26 points rank Historical context only
Donovan Mitchell 7 12 70 games; the displayed category line was 27.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 1.5 steals.
James Harden 12 20 70 games; the displayed line included 8.0 assists and 3.1 threes.
Evan Mobley 43 30 His .606 FT% materially depressed the default category result.
Jarrett Allen 80 74 56 games; a totals-versus-per-game switch can materially change interpretation.

The category page allows different categories, weights, rank types, and total/per-game modes. The numbers above are the public default snapshot, not universal nine-category ranks.

April rest-of-season projections

The public category projection page projected only the handful of 2025-26 regular-season games still remaining: six games for Mitchell and Harden and five for Mobley. In its default top 30, Mitchell ranked fourth, Harden eighth, and Mobley seventeenth. The points-projection page ranked Mobley tenth, Mitchell twelfth, and Harden seventeenth under its displayed default scoring.

That short horizon is decisive. These lines were end-of-season streaming projections, not early 2026-27 forecasts. Allen and the deeper Cavaliers were outside the public top-30 projection window, and the full output required paid access.

2025-26 ADP

The ADP page explicitly selects ADP Data from 2025-26 NBA Season and blends Yahoo, ESPN, and Fantrax:

Player Yahoo ESPN Fantrax 2025-26 blend
James Harden 15.5 13.6 13.6 14.2
Donovan Mitchell 18.8 23.1 19.4 20.4
Evan Mobley 19.2 32.2 19.3 23.6
Jarrett Allen 55.5 55.1 58.8 56.5

The page applies current-looking team labels to historical draft data. It showed Harden as CLE and Garland as LAC even though those labels could not have described the original 2025-26 draft context. Team affiliation and season provenance must therefore be stored separately. Late-player platform values also clustered at apparent caps, so deep blended ADP should not be treated as precise market measurement.

Rookie, sleeper, schedule, and in-season tools

Methodology and context

Category ranking controls

Hashtag's user guide defines the free ranking controls:

Because rank type, categories, weights, games basis, position source, and minimum-games filter are mutable, a copied rank is incomplete without those settings.

Projection blends

The guide calls the underlying forecast my projections, making Mamone the model owner. During the season, BLEND7 is described as a 50/50 mixture of his projection and the player's last-seven-day data; BLEND14 is the analogous last-14-day blend. The live projection selector also offered BLEND30, short-term STREAM7/14/30, and games-played penalties, but the guide did not define every one of those variants in comparable detail. Do not infer an undocumented formula.

Public pages disclose no player-level minutes methodology, injury probability model, team-minute constraint, aging curve, rookie translation model, update log, or forecast-error history. They are useful external forecasts, but not fully reproducible projections.

Points and auction settings

The points pages allow custom weights for points, rebounds, assists, stocks, turnovers, threes, shooting events, double-doubles, triple-doubles, and other fields. A displayed points rank is meaningless without the exact scoring inputs. Auction tools additionally depend on budget, number of teams, roster size, selected categories or point system, totals/per-game choice, and games-played penalty.

Responsible encyclopedia use

  1. Grade Mamone's expert dynasty board as specialist forecast/opinion evidence, not fact. Grade Keeper and Drafter as identified community sentiment.
  2. Use the expert and crowd dynasty ranks to identify disagreement—especially Tyson's No. 165 versus No. 507 gap—not to manufacture a single false-consensus number.
  3. Do not copy the dynasty board's 2025-26 stat columns into 2026-27 fantasy basketball player projections.
  4. Do not relabel the April ranks, projections, auction values, ADP, rookie ranks, sleepers, schedule tools, or lineup splits as 2026-27. Preserve them only as historical baselines.
  5. Do not use Drafter as 2026-27 ADP or redraft rank until Hashtag identifies its season and format and refreshes the player-team mapping.
  6. For Cleveland, verify every affiliation and transaction against official sources before using Hashtag's team filter. The site is an evaluation source, not a roster source of record.
  7. Re-audit after Hashtag rolls its public rankings and projection selectors to 2026-27. Capture the source update date, access date, format, categories/scoring, per-game versus totals, forecast variant, games penalty, and visible rank population.
