Team: Denver Nuggets · Position: C · Age during season: 31-32
Reported baseline
Jokić played 65 games in 2025-26 and averaged 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, 10.7 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.7 threes on 56.9% FG and 83.1% FT.1 He missed nearly a month after hyperextending his left knee, an important break from his earlier durability baseline.2
ESPN's July 18 preseason feed ranked him No. 1 in its standard/points ordering and No. 2 in roto; ESPN's April points article and Dan Titus' NBA-hosted early nine-category/High Score list had him No. 1, while Athlon's March list put him second behind Victor Wembanyama.3 4 5 Alex Barutha's July 14 social-media rough draft also opened with Jokić first, but it was explicitly a rapid gut-check rather than a finished model.6 Dynatyze's July 18 default board placed him fourth; because the board also ranks future picks, that is a dynasty/trade-value signal rather than a pure redraft contradiction.7

9-cat per-game band: 1-3. Points: overall No. 1 candidate. Totals: availability makes the gap over Wembanyama/SGA much smaller than the per-game gap.
Fantasy profile
- Category impact: elite positive impact in FG%, rebounds, assists, points and steals; real help in FT% and threes from a center. Blocks are useful rather than dominant. Turnovers are the only clear liability.
- Points leagues: assists/rebounds plus efficient scoring create the highest floor in the player pool; no punt or roster architecture is required.
- Dynasty: still a top-five productive asset, but an age-32 season and potential 2027 contract decision make younger superstars more liquid in a rebuild.
- Floor: roughly fourth overall per game if the knee reduces driving/efficiency or Denver lowers workload; low-60s games can materially hurt totals.
- Ceiling: overall No. 1 with another triple-double average and 68-plus games.
Role, health, and uncertainty
The usage and playmaking role is invariant to Denver's RFA decisions. The high-leverage uncertainty is games played: rate confidence very high, minutes confidence high, roster confidence very high, availability confidence medium. Jokić said in July that he wants to remain with Denver but plans to wait until next summer for a potentially larger extension; this matters more in dynasty than 2026-27 redraft.8

Career record
Pre-NBA: No college. Two senior seasons with KK Mega Vizura (later Mega Basket) in Serbia, playing the Adriatic (ABA) League and the Serbian league. The 2014-15 season was the one that mattered: 15.4 points, a league-leading 9.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in ABA play, winning ABA League regular-season MVP in March 2015 at age 20. Draft: 2014, second round, 41st overall by Denver; not traded. He was a draft-and-stash, remaining with Mega for 2014-15 and joining the Nuggets in summer 2015.

Awards: MVP in 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2023-24; 2023 Finals MVP and champion; MVP runner-up in 2025-26 behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He led the league in both rebounds and assists in 2025-26 and averaged a triple-double for a second consecutive season, joining Russell Westbrook as the only players to do so back-to-back.
Fantasy history: 2024-25: first overall in 8-cat per-game value at season's end, with Wembanyama and Gilgeous-Alexander close behind. 2025-26: first overall in both 9-cat and High Score per game, finishing comfortably ahead of Gilgeous-Alexander and Wembanyama in both. Season-end ranks before 2024-25 vary by ranker and format and are not verifiable to a single primary source, so no specific numbers are given for those years. The points-league and category shapes are unusually aligned for him — assists plus rebounds plus efficient volume scoring is the highest-floor line in the pool in either format — with the one caveat that a persistent 3.0-3.8 turnover rate costs more in 9-cat than in points.
Durability: 80, 73, 75, 80, 73, 72, 74, 69, 79, 70, 65 games. Before 2025-26 he had never missed more than 13 games in a season and had cleared 69 in nine of ten years. The 2025-26 break was a hyperextended left knee with a bone bruise, suffered late in the first half at Miami on December 29, 2025; imaging cleared the ACL, he was given a four-week reevaluation window, and the absence cost roughly 16 games. He returned in time to clear the 65-game awards threshold exactly.
Trajectory: The counting-stat dip in 2025-26 was a minutes artifact, not decline. Per 36 minutes his scoring was essentially flat year over year — about 29.0 in 2024-25 against about 28.7 in 2025-26 — while his rebounding rose from roughly 12.5 to 13.3 and his assists from 10.0 to 11.1. Denver simply played him 1.9 fewer minutes a night. Before the knee injury he was at 29.9 points, 12.4 rebounds and 11.1 assists and on pace to be the first player to shoot 60% from the field and 40% from three in the same season, so the full-year line understates how he played when healthy. The genuine negatives are a career-high 3.7 turnovers and a steal rate that regressed from the outlier 1.8 back to his 1.3-1.4 norm. Entering an age-31 season the aging curve argues for stable rates and fewer minutes rather than a rate collapse, which means the 2026-27 question is almost entirely games played: a 70-game Jokić is the overall No. 1 in per-game and total value alike, a 62-game Jokić is a top-three per-game player who loses head-to-head weeks and roto totals to Wembanyama and Gilgeous-Alexander.
