Noah Clowney

Noah Clowney's stretch-big threes and blocks retain fantasy intrigue, but Julius Randle's arrival turns a 2025-26 starter into a contested bench role.

Role, floor and ceiling

Julius Randle takes the starting four, while Day'Ron Sharpe, Moritz Wagner and small-ball Randle cover center. Floor: 12 minutes or a trade. Ceiling: 24 minutes, 11 points, five boards, two threes and one block if the shot improves.

Risk monitor

Clowney dealt with back, ankle and wrist issues in 2025-26. More important for fantasy, .396 shooting and only 4.1 rebounds in 27 minutes made his volume fragile even before the roster additions.

Career record

Pre-NBA: Alabama, one season (2022-23): 36 GP (all starts), 25.4 MPG, 9.8 PTS, 7.9 REB, 0.8 AST, 0.9 BLK on .486/.283/.649; twice SEC Freshman of the Week. Draft: 2023, Round 1, Pick 21, Brooklyn Nets.

Durability: 23 GP as a rookie (heavy Long Island G-League assignment), 46 in 2024-25 with ankle sprains cutting the season short, 66 in 2025-26 through back, ankle and wrist issues. He has yet to clear 70 games.

Trajectory: The record shows a clean three-year scoring climb (5.8 → 9.1 → 12.3 PPG) as he converted from a college rim-runner into a high-volume stretch big, but efficiency has stalled below .400 since the threes arrived. In 2026-27 he competes for the backup PF/C minutes behind Julius Randle against Day'Ron Sharpe and Moritz Wagner. He becomes fantasy-relevant only if a trade or injury restores ~24+ MPG and the three-point stroke reaches league average — the threes-plus-blocks combination is real at starter minutes.
