Durability: Games played have been capped by contract status and depth rather than health — 19 NBA appearances in each of his two seasons, with the balance of the schedule spent in the G League or inactive. The exception is the right ankle fracture he suffered playing for the Greensboro Swarm; surgery on April 9, 2026 ended his season and kept him out of 2026 Summer League.
Trajectory: Two seasons of NBA data amount to one usable sample: the 12 games in Charlotte, where 15.6 minutes produced 6.1 points and 5.5 rebounds. That rebounding rate is the only NBA skill he has demonstrated at scale, and it came with 1.3 turnovers in limited minutes, which is the reason he is not trusted with more. The college three-point stroke (.398 as a junior) has not transferred — 0.2 makes per game across 38 NBA appearances. He enters 2026-27 on a two-way behind four standard-contract bigs, so the only route to relevance is the ankle healing clean and two of Kalkbrenner, Diabaté, Reid and Steinbach missing time simultaneously, which would push him back toward the 15-plus minutes where he produced.
