Snapshot
- Status: right-Achilles rupture and surgery; zero opening-night rotation minutes.
- Role if active: movement shooter and secondary handler behind Anthony Edwards, Ayo Dosunmu, and LaMelo Ball.
- Current market: Hashtag's July keeper crowd ranked him 235th; that still may overstate his 2026-27 totals value.
2026-27 projection
| GP | MPG when active | FG% | FT% | 3PM | PTS | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | 24 | .405 | .760 | 2.0 | 8.5 | 3.0 | 2.5 | 0.8 | 0.2 | 1.0 |
The eight-game estimate is a deliberately conservative late-season scenario, not a medical timetable.
Fantasy translation
- Nine-category: IL stash only in leagues with deep benches and multiple injury slots.
- Points: IL stash only; weekly-lock and total-season formats should avoid him.
- Dynasty: roughly 200+ and a contending hold only when the roster can absorb a lost season.
Floor and ceiling
Floor: no regular-season games. Ceiling: a late-March or April return at 18-24 minutes with useful threes and steals. Even the ceiling should include back-to-back absences and an efficiency ramp.
Injury and transaction monitor
Minnesota's official update confirms the rupture and surgery. NBC expected him to miss a significant portion of 2026-27, while CBS displayed an April 1, 2027 return estimate on July 18. Neither is a live-contact clearance. His eventual minutes would come mostly from Terrence Shannon Jr., Josh Green, Bones Hyland, Jaylen Clark, and Isaiah Evans.

Durability: The lows have specific causes: 27 GP rookie year (heel injury, season-ending surgery), 42 GP in 2021-22 (recovery from the ankle-ligament tear suffered in the 2021 playoffs), 62 GP in 2024-25 (toe injury). He then played all 82 in 2025-26 — and ruptured his right Achilles in the 2026 playoffs, which is the whole story for 2026-27.
Trajectory: Eight seasons establish exactly what a healthy DiVincenzo is: a 2.8-3.5 threes-per-game movement shooter with a steal, real secondary assists, and mediocre FG% — top-90 fantasy value at his 2023-24 peak. The Achilles resets everything: he opens 2026-27 on the injured list with no rotation minutes, competing only against his own rehab timeline. He becomes fantasy-relevant in redraft only if he returns by roughly March at 18-24 MPG (an IL-stash bet in deep leagues with extra injury slots); his real market is dynasty, where the 2027-28 version — a 30-year-old movement shooter post-Achilles — is the asset being priced.
