Durability: 54, 69, 56, 42 and 68 games across five seasons — never a full slate, but the absences have been short and scattered rather than one long shutdown. The 42-game 2024-25 in Houston was the thinnest, and a knee problem kept him out of the Rockets' first-round series. A high right ankle sprain closed his 2025-26 regular season and cost him Atlanta's playoff run.

Trajectory: Four seasons of 11-to-14 minutes as a third big, then a genuine role change in 2025-26 — 23.6 minutes in Memphis at 11.3 and 6.5, with a three-point shot (1.1 makes a game) that had not existed before. That stretch is the case for him; the 19.4-minute Atlanta sample after the trade is the more realistic baseline behind Onyeka Okongwu. He is a streamer, not a hold: he becomes rosterable if Okongwu misses time, since Atlanta's only other true center depth is unproven, and the 2025-26 Memphis line shows what he does with starter minutes. The one-year deal and the ankle both argue against paying up in dynasty.
