Range
- Ceiling: Miller misses time or O'Neale closes at PF; 25 MPG, two-plus threes, 4.5 REB and one steal—top 130-160.
- Median: matchup-based 18-minute role.
- Floor: Charlotte prioritizes Steinbach/James or flips O'Neale; fewer than 15 minutes and no fantasy role.
RotoWire expects him to back up Reid and specifically warns that last year's 28.4 minutes will be difficult to replicate. His live ADP around 160 is therefore an optimistic signal unless the rotation thins.

Durability: Exceptionally available — 678 games across nine seasons with no year below 69 played except the split 2023-24 campaign, in which he still appeared in 79 games between Brooklyn and Phoenix. There is no significant injury history to flag.
Trajectory: A nine-year career of the same job done at slowly increasing volume: low-usage forward, catch-and-shoot threes, positional rebounds, one steal, no self-creation. His 2025-26 line was his career best in points, threes and steals, but that came with a 28.4-minute role Phoenix gave him out of necessity, and Charlotte acquired him in the July 13 Miles Bridges trade as a veteran on a bench with younger competition. He is fantasy-relevant only if Charlotte hands him back a high-20s minute role — realistically requiring a Brandon Miller absence or a trade that clears the forward rotation — since at 18 minutes his counting stats fall below deep-league thresholds in every category.

Open questions
- Is O'Neale a stable 18-minute reserve or a trade-deadline asset being showcased?
- Will Charlotte prefer him or Sion James in defensive closing groups?
