Role and evidence
Golden State signed Leons to a two-way contract in December 2025. Before that move, his G League line included 14.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.75 steals, and 1.0 block in 34.5 minutes, with .513 FG and .438 from three. In 25 Warriors games he averaged 3.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, 0.6 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 11.0 minutes (ESPN).
Leons' defensive events are the fantasy skill. His age limits long-horizon growth, and Lendeborg, Santos, Green, Horford, and Butler all project ahead of him at forward. The model assigns conditional appearance minutes rather than placing those seven minutes into the 240-minute healthy rotation.
Range
- Ceiling: Green or multiple wings are unavailable, Leons reaches 18 MPG and provides 1.8 combined steals/blocks.
- Median: G League-heavy season with short NBA call-ups.
- Floor: the two-way slot turns over before camp or he remains outside the NBA active group.
Career record
Pre-NBA: Dutch; born September 23, 1999. Started professionally at home with Apollo Amsterdam in the Dutch Basketball League from 2017 to 2019, 51 games across two seasons, averaging 5.9 points and 4.0 rebounds in 2018-19. Moved to American junior college and was named NABC Junior College Player of the Year in 2021. Three seasons at Bradley (Missouri Valley Conference), 2021-24: 101 games, 99 starts, 1,179 points, 640 rebounds, 137 blocks and 127 steals — roughly 11.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. As a fifth-year senior in 2023-24 he averaged 13.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 assists. Back-to-back MVC Defensive Player of the Year (2023, 2024), first-team All-MVC in 2024, and the first player in conference history to post 50-plus blocks and 50-plus steals in the same season, in consecutive years. Draft: undrafted (2024); signed with Oklahoma City in September 2024.

Durability: No injury record of note. The 31 career NBA games reflect contract churn, not health — Oklahoma City signed and waived him twice inside seven weeks in autumn 2024, and he spent the intervening fourteen months with the Oklahoma City Blue before Golden State signed him to a two-way on December 8, 2025.
Trajectory: The G League production is the argument and the NBA sample is the problem. With the Blue he was a full-service forward — 14.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals on 51% shooting and 44% from three over 12 games before the call-up, on top of 11.6/8.2/3.4 with 1.7 blocks the previous year. In 25 Warriors games the shooting collapsed to 25% from three on 0.2 makes, which is the specific reason he sits behind Lendeborg, Santos, Green, Horford and Butler. What survived the jump is the defense: 0.6 steals and 0.4 blocks in 11 minutes is a real per-minute rate. At 26 there is no development curve left to bet on, so he is a conditional asset only — if Green or two of the wings miss extended time and he holds 18 minutes, the combined stocks become streamable in deep formats. Otherwise this is a Santa Cruz season with call-ups.
