Snapshot
- Status: standard contract after Chicago exercised his 2026-27 team option and routed him through Minnesota to Charlotte.
- 2025-26 NBA: two games, 22.5 MPG; .545 FG · .750 FT · 0.5 3PM · 8.0 PTS · 3.0 REB · 3.0 AST · 1.0 STL · 0.5 BLK · 1.5 TO—far too small a sample for projection weight.
- G League: 13 Windy City games; 12.5 PTS, 7.6 REB, 0.8 AST, 1.5 STL and 0.8 BLK in 23.4 minutes.

Nine-category, points, and dynasty: outside the top 250 on the current roster. His value is roster-security speculation, not draftable production.

- Ceiling: survives cutdown and injuries create a 12-15-minute defensive-forward role.
- Median: waived or traded before opening night.
- Floor: leaves the NBA roster and remains G League depth.

Career record
Pre-NBA: Junior college at Monroe College (2016-19), then Stony Brook (7.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.0 blocks in 2019-20; 9.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.1 blocks in 2020-21) and one year at Pittsburgh in the ACC (9.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.1 blocks in 32 games, 28 starts). He was America East Defensive Player of the Year and third-team All-America East in 2021. Draft: undrafted (2022). Since then he has cycled through Texas, Raptors 905, Capital City and Windy City, with brief NBA stints in Toronto (10-day then two-way, 2024) and Chicago (rest-of-season deal signed April 9, 2026). His 2025-26 G League season with Windy City — 14.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 blocks in 29.2 minutes across 47 games, .517/.333/.627 — is the largest real sample he has.

Durability: Nothing to report. His missed time is contractual, not medical — he has been waived or on a G League roster for most of four seasons rather than injured.
Trajectory: Thirteen NBA games across four years, with the only notable signal a 1.6-block rate in 10.9 minutes as a Raptor. He is a shot-blocking, rebounding forward whose jumper (.333 from three in the G League, .347 career NBA from the field) has never been reliable enough to hold a standard-roster spot. In Charlotte he arrives as trade filler competing for one of the last spots on the 15, not for minutes. He becomes fantasy-relevant only in the compound case where he survives cutdown and Charlotte's frontcourt loses two bodies to injury — and even then the ceiling is a 12-15 minute defensive role with blocks and little else.

Open questions
- Is Gueye one of Charlotte's three required standard-contract exits?
- If retained, will he spend most of the year inactive rather than with a G League assignment?
