August 2 10-team update
10-team ADP: 41.2; projection: 224.7 points; model risk: med. (FFCalculator PPR 10-team ADP and FFToday projection snapshot, 2026-08-02/2026-07-30.) He avoided PUP while recovering from an ACL tear and second scar-tissue cleanup, making availability conditional, not fully cleared. Require practice progression before treating 17 games as draft-day certainty. Status source. This block supersedes earlier numeric, risk, and turn language.
The role
A big slot works inside the formation on shorter, more frequent throws rather than deep shots, and in full PPR that trade is fine: the catches pay a point each whether they travel five yards or forty. Where he differs from the other receivers in this price range is that nobody in the New York receiving room is projected ahead of him — he is the target share, not a share of it. A target is a throw in his direction, counted whether or not he catches it.
The number
The promoted players.csv row gives 224.7 projected points (77 catches, 1,044 yards). That is a forecast, not an observed total; with ACL recovery still conditional, do not read the 17-game model as clearance.
The risk
The promoted risk column reads med. The immediate gate is his ACL recovery: avoiding PUP is positive, but it is not full-practice clearance, so require practice progression before trusting the model's seventeen games. The structural drag is the rest of the offense: New York starts a rushing QB projected for one of the heavier rushing workloads at his position, alongside a three-down bell cow. Both are plays that are not passes, and a receiver only scores when the ball is thrown to him. His 19 games played in 34 since 2024 add a separate availability cost in the board's Adj VOR; see Availability and injury risk.
The context
He is 23.1 on the September 9 opener and was New York's sixth overall pick in 2024 out of LSU — capital that normally hands a player the job (see Draft capital dominance). He has played 19 of a possible 34 games, 15 in 2024 and four in 2025. But 13 of the 15 he missed never appeared on the official injury report, which shows only two weeks Out and three Questionable or Doubtful, across a concussion, a groin and a hip. He was absent; the record does not call it injury. In those four 2025 games he played 79.5 percent of the snaps — individual plays — on 35 targets, catching 18; the 7.0 percent season target share is arithmetic from thirteen games missed, not a small role. He is on his rookie deal through 2028.

Open questions
- Does being the undisputed first option outweigh a run-heavy offense, or do the two roughly cancel — leaving him priced correctly rather than cheaply?
- His bye is week 8, the earliest of this group. Is an early bye a cost or a convenience against a roster that already clusters in weeks 10 and 11?
