Live 10-team decision status — 2026-08-02
10-team decision data: ADP 26.7, projection 366.2 points, risk low. Current Moore chemistry reporting is not an Allen health/workload receipt; no promoted Allen status change is recorded.
Source: promoted Data/players.csv and Data/current-status.csv. This section supersedes every older July ADP, projection-source date, risk flag, pick-band/turn, and current-role assertion below. Older explanatory prose remains only as context.
Reading rule: material below this block is historical/model context unless it repeats the promoted values and 10-team baseline above; it is not live draft instruction.
The role
He is a rushing QB: a quarterback who runs by design rather than only when a play collapses. That matters because rushing yards pay 0.1 a yard and a rushing touchdown pays six against a passing touchdown's four, so he collects a second income stream nobody else at his position has. The note column of Data/players.csv puts him at 567 projected rushing yards — comfortably past the 350-yard line that separates the archetype from a pocket QB, who throws and nothing else.
The number
366.2 projected points, from the promoted proj_points column of Data/players.csv. It is a model, not an observation. In this 10-team, one-QB league, evaluate that total against QB10 and the RB/WR/TE values still available at the live turn; do not use the obsolete twelfth-starter or July weekly-edge comparison.
The risk
The promoted CSV flags him low risk. His 10-team proxy ADP is 26.7, not ESPN's own board. That price is after the 20/21 turn, so do not preassign him there; at the live 40/41 decision, take him only if his edge over QB10 exceeds the remaining RB/WR/TE alternatives. His historical availability remains supportive, but does not erase that opportunity-cost test.
The context
He is 30 on the September 9 opener, drafted 7th overall by Buffalo in 2018 — first-round capital that has been repaid (Draft capital dominance). He is the most available player at this turn by a distance: 17, 16 and 16 games, 49 of a possible 51. Across three full seasons of official weekly injury reports he was never listed Out, never listed Questionable or Doubtful, and no body part appears against his name at all. The two missed games never touched the report, so they were not medical. In 2025 he played 93 percent of Buffalo's snaps, ran 112 carries for 579 rushing yards and threw for 3,668 — so the 567 rushing yards the projection leans on is essentially what he already did. He is paid $55 million a year and is not a free agent until 2031.
Earlier candidate note — superseded
BUF QB — ADP 26.7; 366.2 points; low-risk rushing-QB model. Moore chemistry is not an Allen health/workload receipt; no accepted status change.
Provenance: Data/research/candidates/2026-08-02/players.candidate.csv and Data/current-status.csv. Current-status evidence is narrower than the candidate model.
Open questions
- Whether the promoted rushing projection remains strong enough for Allen to clear QB10 and the RB/WR/TE alternatives when the 40/41 turn arrives.
- Bye week 7. Quarterback is the easiest position to cover for one week, so this is a cost you can absorb.
