Current 10-team snapshot

The promoted Data/players.csv row lists TB WR, bye 10, ADP 86.0 (ffcalc-ppr-10tm-2026-08-02), 175.9 projected points over 17 games, big slot, and low model risk (68 catches, 779 yards projected). No accepted current-status row establishes his present health or target share; the label and stat line are model inputs, not a camp verification.

The role

He is the big slot: he lines up inside, closer to the formation, and takes short throws — many of them, worth few yards each. A target is a throw in his direction, counted whether or not he catches it (Fantasy football glossary). That job reads badly in yardage and well in this format, because ten catches for 80 yards pays the same as four catches for 140. He is not Tampa Bay's first receiving option; the CSV projects a second big slot on the same roster ahead of him.

The number

68 catches projected — from the promoted 2026-08-02 row (big slot; 68 catches for 779 yards projected). It is a model projection, not an observation. In full PPR those 68 catches are 68 points before a single yard is counted, about four a game, arriving on volume rather than on big plays.

The risk

The CSV flags his risk as low, which is the whole appeal at this price — but low is not zero, and the driver is the teammate. Two big slots on one offense are drawing from the same pool of inside throws, and the file projects the other one meaningfully higher, so Godwin's share is the residual rather than the priority. That low flag is a judgement about the role and not about the body: he has played thirty-three of a possible fifty-one games since 2023, so the projection assumes a full season he has not had in three years — see Availability and injury risk.

The context

He is thirty and a half on the September 9 opener, a 2017 third-round pick, 84th overall, by Tampa Bay. Draft capital normally tells you who gets handed a job; nine years in, his says nothing. Availability does. He played 17 games in 2023, then 7, then 9 — thirty-three of a possible fifty-one. The official injury report lists eight weeks Out and five Questionable or Doubtful, naming fibula, ankle and neck; ten of the eighteen missed games are logged as non-injury absences. In 2025 he played 70.9 percent of Tampa Bay's snaps (a snap is one play — Fantasy football glossary) and drew 51 targets, 9.4 percent of the team's throws, catching 33. The 68-catch projection assumes seventeen games. He is paid — 66 million dollars, 22 million a year, voiding in 2028.
