Current 10-team snapshot

The promoted Data/players.csv row lists NYJ RB, bye 13, ADP 27.8 (ffcalc-ppr-10tm-2026-08-02), 245.5 projected points over 17 games, RB1; not proven every-down, and low model risk (258 carries, 47 catches projected). It supersedes prior unqualified three-down wording. The canonical ledger accepts that the Jets identify Hall as RB1, available with high role and health confidence; it explicitly does not establish every-down work, so routes and snaps remain the workload gate.

The role

A three-down bell cow stays on the field on every down, including passing downs, so he collects both the carries (running plays handed to him) and the catches. That stacks two income streams onto one roster spot, and there are perhaps eight such backs in the league. The alternative most running backs live in is the early-down committee back, who leaves the field on third down and therefore cannot score on the plays he is not out there for. Hall carries the bell-cow label in the file.

The number

The gated candidate feed projects 47 catches as of 2026-08-02. This is a model projection, not an observation. In full PPR those 47 receptions pay 47 points before a single yard, roughly three a game; whether the receiving work is real is exactly the routes/snaps question still open in the ledger.

The risk

The CSV lists his risk as low, meaning the projection is stable, not that the role is guaranteed. The pressure point is a teammate: the New York backfield also holds a back labelled handcuff who is nonetheless projected for meaningful carries, so the touch budget is not entirely Hall's, and how it splits is a coaching decision that will not be visible until the August 30 roster cutdown. Availability is not the second worry: he has missed two games in three seasons, and only one of those was an injury.

The context

He is 25.3 on the September 9 opener, a second-round pick — 36th overall in 2022 — by the same New York team he still plays for. He has played 49 of a possible 51 games since 2023, and only one of the two absences was medical; the injury report has listed him Out once and Questionable or Doubtful eight times, mostly for a knee, plus a hamstring and an ankle. In 2025 he took 243 carries and caught 36 of 48 targets while on the field for 64.4 percent of his offense's snaps — individual plays. The projection asks for 258 carries and 47 catches, more of both. He is paid, 43.5 million dollars with 29 million guaranteed, running to 2029.
