Dalen Terry

Dalen Terry is a defense-and-connector reserve whose low scoring and efficiency leave him outside normal fantasy drafts even when he reaches ten minutes per appearance.

Research cutoff: July 18, 2026. Team: Philadelphia 76ers. Role: deep guard/wing defender.

The line shows useful per-minute peripherals but insufficient volume and poor free throws. NBA career statistics, accessed July 18, 2026

Health and uncertainty

There was no accessible July injury restriction. The projection's missed games are mainly coach's decisions. Terry can cover three positions defensively, but almost every player ahead of him supplies more shooting or creation.

Confidence

Component Confidence Reason
Deep-reserve status High Guard/wing depth is crowded
Per-minute peripherals Medium-high Multi-year NBA sample

Standard-league value High No viable base-case volume

Career record

Pre-NBA: Two seasons at Arizona (Pac-12), 2020-22. A limited freshman role, then a sophomore year in which he started all 37 games at 8.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists and made the Pac-12 All-Defensive First Team — a connector-and-defender profile rather than a scoring one, which is exactly what the NBA career has become. Draft: 2022, first round, 18th overall, Chicago Bulls.

Career three-point percentage is .314 on 0.4 makes per game.

Durability: Effectively no injury story. The games totals track roster status and coach's decisions, not health — 38 as a rookie behind a full Chicago rotation with Windy City time, then 59, then a career-high 73 in 2024-25. The 48-game 2025-26 total reflects a February 5 trade sequence that sent him to New York for Guerschon Yabusele and immediately on to New Orleans for Jose Alvarado, after which he signed a Philadelphia two-way on February 10 and was converted to a standard two-year, $2.7 million deal on April 10.

Trajectory: Four seasons and 218 games have produced a stable, narrow player: 3.5 points and 11 minutes a night, with genuinely useful per-minute defense and connective passing and no scoring gravity whatsoever. The one thing that changed in 2025-26 was three-point percentage, .413 in Chicago on 0.6 attempts made per game — a sample far too small to trust, and it collapsed to .250 in the Philadelphia games. The structural problem for fantasy is that his best category, steals at 0.5, is not enough to carry a line that also delivers .638 career free-throw shooting and negligible threes. He is behind Philadelphia's Brown/Edgecombe/Edwards wings and the Maxey/Simons/Philon guards. He becomes streamable only in a genuine wing injury cluster that pushes him past 20 minutes, and even then the assists-and-steals payoff is a short-term deep-league play rather than a hold.
