Reading the table
NBA rows are 2025-26 regular-season per-game statistics. Rookie rows use their final 2025-26 college season. 3PM is made threes per game. ~TS is true shooting computed from exact season totals where available and from the displayed per-game line otherwise, so it is a derived orientation metric rather than a separately sourced projection. All data were checked 2026-07-18.

Projection-relevant context
- Primary usage: Porter produced a career-high 24.2 points with 18.4 FGA, 9.3 3PA, and 4.4 FTA per game. Randle adds a 21.1/6.7/5.0 line on 15.3 FGA and 6.3 FTA. Their coexistence and any Porter trade are the largest usage branches.
- Point-guard competition: Nolan Traore's official season book lists a 22.4% usage rate and 26.5% assist rate, but his .479 derived TS and 2.3 turnovers show the efficiency cost. Brown's college baseline carries more scoring and shooting but also 3.1 turnovers. Dëmin brings the best established NBA spacing of the young handlers (2.4 threes at 38.5%).
- Center vacancy: Sharpe's per-18.7-minute 8.7/6.7/2.3/1.1 line is unusually fantasy-dense. The prior seven starts were 11.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.0 block in 28.2 minutes, but seven games are not a stable rate forecast. Moritz Wagner's agreement was still described by NBA.com as reported, and his 36-game return season was only 11.9 minutes per game.
- Minott sample split: His Brooklyn scoring and defensive-event spike is more role-relevant than the full-season 17-minute line, but it is only 16 games. The official season totals support 0.8, not 1.3, assists per game in the Brooklyn split; one prose sentence in the team book appears inconsistent with its exact totals.
- Second-round rookie shooting: Bilodeau's 46.4% on 4.5 college 3PA per game is an elite baseline, not an NBA forecast. He signed a two-way deal and should not be assigned standard-rotation volume without a contract/role update.
Availability ledger
- Michael Porter Jr.: the team book records 10 games missed for a left hamstring strain, four for a right ankle sprain, two for right-knee tendinitis, plus smaller back/illness absences. The March 19 update said re-evaluation in two to three weeks; no later formal clearance was located.
- Egor Dëmin: missed the remainder of the season with a left plantar-fascia tear/plantar fasciitis; the season book records 29 games lost to the foot issue. He returned to game action in July Summer League, a positive but not definitive durability signal.
- Nolan Traore: underwent a right-knee scope after the season. Sean Marks said on June 30 that he expected a full recovery for training camp; Traore did not play Summer League.
- Day'Ron Sharpe: underwent season-ending surgery for a left-thumb UCL tear announced March 12. He re-signed in June, but no explicit summer medical-clearance notice was located.
- Noah Clowney: played 66 games but the team book lists back soreness/management, lower-back sprain, left-ankle sprain/soreness/management, and a four-game right-wrist sprain.
- Terance Mann: the 63-game line included right-patella tendon soreness/tendinosis and left-Achilles soreness. These are more relevant than his seven coach's-decision absences.
- Josh Minott: missed 10 Boston games with a left-ankle sprain and later Brooklyn games with ankle soreness/management; he was out on the April 12 official report.
- Danny Wolf: missed 15 games with a left-ankle sprain, then returned for July Summer League.
- Drake Powell: the team book lists six games for left-ankle sprain and six for left-knee injury management; he played July Summer League.
- Ben Saraf: missed four games for left-ankle sprain, two for left-knee soreness, and smaller foot/back/illness absences, in addition to G League and coach-decision absences.
- Mikel Brown Jr.: missed 14 Louisville games with a recurring back injury, including the final six and both conference/NCAA tournaments; this is the largest rookie durability flag.
- Tyler Bilodeau: missed five UCLA games—two in November with a left-knee injury and the final three with a right-knee injury—before playing Summer League.
- Moritz Wagner: returned January 11, 2026 from the December 2024 left-ACL tear and played 36 regular-season games; his low minutes reflect post-ACL return context.
- Keon Ellis: missed two games for left-knee soreness and one for a finger injury; he played 72 total regular-season games.
- Julius Randle: played and started 79 games, the strongest recent availability baseline among Brooklyn's high-usage players.

Open questions
- Has Moritz Wagner's reported contract been formally executed, and which current roster listing is lagging the transaction feed?
- Have Porter and Sharpe received formal offseason medical clearance?
- Which of the crowded young guards opens camp in the NBA rotation rather than Long Island?
- Will Brooklyn keep Porter and Randle through opening night, or redistribute their projected usage through another trade?
