Player Dossier · Oklahoma City Thunder

Kenrich Williams

Kenrich Williams is a trusted matchup forward on a new one-year deal, but the healthy-base model leaves only two minutes and no redraft relevance.

Team: Oklahoma City Thunder · SF/PF · Age 31 · Standard one-year contract · Base role: outside the base rotation; matchup reserve on an appearance card

Projection card

GP MPG 3PM PTS REB AST STL BLK FG% (M/A) FT% (M/A) TO
50 8.0 0.6 3.4 2.0 0.8 0.4 0.2 .470 (1.3/2.8) .650 (0.2/0.3) 0.4

This is an appearance card, not simultaneous base minutes: it describes only games in which he plays, and those minutes replace absent standard players rather than adding to the healthy 240-minute model. Correction 2026-07-18: the earlier build carried him in the base table at 2.0 MPG. That figure was a residual used to force the 240 sum rather than an achievable rotation number — no NBA player logs one or two minutes across 50 appearances — so he moves to the same appearance-card treatment already used for the two-ways, and the freed minutes go to Thomas Sorber, whose July knee procedure leaves him on track for training camp.

Nine-category / points: waiver unless several wings sit. Dynasty: no meaningful long-horizon value outside extremely deep salary formats.

Why the line looks like this

Williams averaged 6.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.6 steals in 15.3 minutes over 56 games in 2025-26, shooting 47.3% overall and 38.8% from three. Oklahoma City declined his $7.2 million option, then officially retained him on a reported one-year, $5 million deal. That proves roster trust, not a guaranteed 15-minute role after the team added Mara/Stirtz and retained every major defender.

He is the natural big-wing contingency behind Jalen Williams, Dort and Caruso. His appearance count can be high while healthy competitive-game minutes remain near zero because many games are blowouts or injury substitutions.

Career record

Pre-NBA: TCU, four playing seasons (2014-18, missing 2015-16 to knee surgery): grew from 8.6 / 6.7 as a sophomore to 13.2 PTS / 9.3 REB as a senior; 2017 NIT champion and NIT MVP, Second-team All-Big 12 (2018); TCU retired his No. 34 in 2024. Draft: undrafted (2018); signed with New Orleans that July.

Durability: Has never played 70 games in a season. The 2022-23 season ended in March with left-wrist surgery; right-knee arthroscopy followed in September 2024; he also lost a full college season to knee surgery. Recent availability is steadier (69 / 69 / 56), but the sub-60 pattern is structural.

Trajectory: The record shows eight seasons of nearly flat production — roughly 6 points and 4 rebounds on strong FG% with almost no free-throw volume — which is precisely why OKC keeps paying for it: he is a matchup defender and glue wing, not a stats producer. His minutes have already been squeezed from 22-23 to 15-16 as the Thunder's young core matured. In 2026-27 he sits outside the healthy base rotation as the big-wing contingency behind Jalen Williams and Caruso (the dossier's depth chart also lists Dort, but Dort was dealt to Atlanta on 2026-07-19, which if anything loosens the squeeze). He becomes fantasy-relevant only if multiple OKC wings sit at once, restoring a 15-minute 6-3-1 line that still matters only in very deep leagues.
