Role, floor and ceiling

Dickinson can dominate G League possessions but must pass Derik Queen, Yves Missi, Karlo Matković and DeAndre Jordan for NBA minutes. Floor: almost the entire season in Birmingham. Ceiling: a 12–15-minute call-up role producing rebounds, threes and passing if frontcourt injuries cluster.

Injury and transaction monitor

New Orleans re-signed Dickinson to a two-way deal on July 7; this is the only filled two-way slot in the reconciled roster. CBS/RotoWire, 2026-07-07 No new carryover injury was identified in the research cut.

Career record

He spent nearly the whole of 2025-26 with the Birmingham Squadron, where he was the offense: 33 games, 31.2 minutes, 18.0 points, 10.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists on 56.9% shooting, plus selection to the 2026 G League Next Up Game.

Durability: No injury history worth flagging — he played 161 of a possible 161-ish college games across five years and a full G League season. The five NBA appearances are a depth-chart and two-way-designation outcome, not a health one.

Trajectory: The gap between the G League line and the NBA line is the whole story. Dickinson has never not produced against non-NBA competition — five straight college seasons at 17-plus points, then an 18-and-11 G League year — but at 25 he is a below-the-rim, slow-footed 7-1 center in a league that asks centers to defend space. The five-game NBA sample is too small to read, though 0.6 turnovers in 8.4 minutes hints at the handling problems that show up against NBA length. He sits behind Queen, Missi, Matković and Jordan on a two-way with a 50-game active limit. He becomes fantasy-relevant only if two of those four are out at once and he gets a 15-minute call-up run; the rebounding and passing would show immediately in that window, but nothing about his 2025-26 usage suggests New Orleans plans to create one.
