Why the line looks like this

Jackson appeared in 49 games with 19 starts, averaging 9.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 0.9 threes in 18.3 minutes; his late run included 21 points, eight assists and three steals in the finale. Indiana converted his two-way to a standard contract, then fully guaranteed his 2026-27 salary at $2.58M on 2026-07-15 rather than use the waiver window. Haliburton, Nembhard and McConnell still own the lead minutes, so the projection scales his observed per-minute rates down to eight. Pacers player/video hub · Hoops Rumors on the guarantee

Durability: Nothing to flag. Every thin games-played total is a contract or rotation matter, not health: an Exhibit 10 with Washington waived in October 2022, a Wizards two-way in February 2023, a Chicago camp deal waived in October 2023, G League time with Capital City, Windy City and Indiana, then a Pacers two-way in March 2024 and again in July 2024. Indiana converted him to a standard three-year, $6.2M deal on February 27, 2026 and guaranteed his 2026-27 salary on July 15, 2026 rather than use the waiver window.

Trajectory: Four seasons of steadily rising per-game production on steadily rising minutes, and 2025-26 is the first sample large enough to trust — 49 games, 19 starts, and a career-high 18.3 minutes, with 25 points and 10 assists against Golden State on November 1 and 21 points, eight assists and three steals in the finale. But those minutes existed because Indiana's backcourt was hurt. With Haliburton, Nembhard and McConnell healthy there is no simultaneous role for him, and he turns 28 in September. The guaranteed salary removes roster risk without creating minutes; he becomes fantasy-relevant only when two of the three guards ahead of him are out at once, at which point the assists and free-throw percentage make him a deep-league streamer.
