Nick Boyd

Nick Boyd is a reported Exhibit 10 point guard whose passing gave him a live camp case, but he remains a G League target rather than a 2026-27 redraft option.

Status and role

Boyd reportedly agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract after going undrafted (Golden State of Mind, June 25; CBS fantasy transaction note). He also appeared on the official Warriors Summer League roster.

A July Summer League game produced 11 points, ten assists, seven rebounds, and a steal in 27 minutes (RotoBaller). That assists performance is a positive role signal, not a reason to project NBA minutes ahead of Podziemski, Melton, or Cryer.

Exhibit 10 deals commonly route players toward the affiliated G League team and do not guarantee an opening-night roster spot. Boyd's path requires proving he can defend and shoot well enough to function without dominating the ball.

Career record

Pre-NBA: Six years of college across three schools — Florida Atlantic (2020-21, redshirt 2021-22, then 2022-23 and 2023-24), San Diego State (2024-25), Wisconsin (2025-26). He started every game of FAU's Final Four run in 2023, was second-team All-Mountain West at San Diego State, and then produced by far his best season as a Wisconsin grad student: 20.7 points, 4.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds in 31.9 minutes on .480/.365/.830, third in the Big Ten in scoring and the first Badger to average 20 since Michael Finley in 1995. The efficiency jump at 24 is the notable part — he went from .411 to .480 from the field while nearly doubling his shot volume. Draft: undrafted (2026).

Season Team GP MPG PTS REB AST STL 3PM FG% 3P% FT% TO
2020-21 FAU 23 15.0 5.1 2.0 1.8 0.4 0.7 .423 .400 .769 0.8
2022-23 FAU 38 23.9 8.9 4.3 2.4 0.8 1.8 .449 .400 .622 1.1
2023-24 FAU 27 23.9 9.3 2.7 1.8 0.9 1.6 .400 .341 .842 1.1
2024-25 SDSU 31 29.8 13.4 3.9 3.9 1.0 1.7 .411 .351 .746 1.8
2025-26 WIS 35 31.9 20.7 3.8 4.3 1.0 1.7 .480 .365 .830 1.7

He has not appeared in an NBA regular-season game. He redshirted 2021-22 at FAU, which is why that season is absent.

Durability: Nothing to report beyond the 2021-22 redshirt. He played 35 games in 2025-26 and started all 31 at San Diego State the year before.

Trajectory: A six-year college guard who kept getting better and finished as a high-volume scorer in a major conference — a real résumé, and also the profile that routinely fails to translate, because the scoring came with a 24-year-old's physical advantage and a 36.5% three-point mark that is good rather than elite. Golden State signed him to an Exhibit 10, which is a G League routing device, not a roster promise. Behind Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, De'Anthony Melton and LJ Cryer he has no path to opening-night minutes. He becomes fantasy-relevant only in a narrow sequence: convert to a two-way in camp, then have Curry miss extended time while Podziemski or Melton is also unavailable. The realistic 2026-27 outcome is Santa Cruz.
