Nine-cat: deep-league threes streamer only. Points: D+. Dynasty: 2.0/10.
Role and evidence
Prince averaged 9.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 2.3 threes in 23.5 minutes across 26 games, shooting .450 from the field, per Basketball-Reference. Detroit acquired him in the July 8 six-team trade.
He can defend both forward spots and space around Thompson/Duren, but Collins, Thompson, Holland, and Robinson all project ahead of him. Prince's experience may matter more in the playoffs than in the nightly regular-season rotation. His brief 2025-26 sample and tiny free-throw volume make the observed 100% FT rate non-predictive; the projection regresses toward his career skill.
Range
- Ceiling: 22 MPG after injuries or a consolidation trade, with two threes and eight points.
- Floor: inactive on many healthy nights or moved again before the deadline.
Career record
Pre-NBA: Baylor, four seasons (2012-16): 13.9 PPG/5.6 RPG as a junior (Big 12 Sixth Man Award, second-team All-Big 12), 15.9 PPG/6.1 RPG as a senior (first-team All-Big 12). Draft: 2016, round 1, pick 12, Utah Jazz; rights traded to Atlanta in a three-team deal.

Durability: Broadly available through his 20s (82 GP in 2017-18, 78-80 GP in 2023-25); the shortened seasons were a 2018-19 ankle problem era in Atlanta, the split 2020-21, and 2025-26, when a herniated disc in his neck required November surgery and cost him roughly four months before a March 10 return.
Trajectory: The record shows a decade-long arc from mid-lottery pick to defined 3-and-D role player: scoring volume peaked at 14.1 PPG in 2017-18 and has settled in the 8-9 point range for five straight seasons while the three-point accuracy has climbed (43.9% in 2024-25, 43.6% in 2025-26). At 32 with a fresh neck surgery in the file, he competes for Detroit's fourth/fifth forward minutes behind Collins, Thompson, Holland and Robinson. He becomes fantasy-relevant only as a deep-league threes streamer if two or more Pistons wings miss time simultaneously and he holds 20+ MPG for a stretch.
