Nine-cat: steals streamer in very deep leagues. Points: D. Dynasty: 2.0/10.
Role and evidence
Green played all 82 games in 2025-26, averaging 6.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 17.6 minutes while shooting .447 from the field and .381 from three (Basketball-Reference). Detroit's offseason tracker lists him as a re-signing.
His pressure defense and transition activity give him a role when Detroit needs energy, yet Thompson and Holland offer similar athletic functions with much greater developmental priority. Joe, Robinson, and Huerter claim the spacing minutes. Green's high steal rate is useful on low-slate streaming days, not enough for a season-long hold at nine projected minutes.
Range
- Ceiling: 16 MPG, one steal and useful FG% if injuries thin the wing group.
- Floor: regular inactive status once the rotation contracts.

Durability: The middle of the record is a right-knee story: arthroscopic surgery in January 2023 held him to 32 games, and lingering recovery pushed most of 2023-24 into the G League (Santa Cruz) before a nine-game late-season Bulls return. Since then he has been an iron man — 68 games in 2024-25 and all 82 in 2025-26.
Trajectory: An undrafted, four-year overseas grinder who carved out a seven-season NBA career on one skill cluster: steals, cuts and efficient finishing at near-zero usage. His per-minute steal production (1.2 in 17.6 minutes last season) is genuinely elite, but he has never sustained more than 23 minutes a game. At 33 for most of 2026-27 he competes for Detroit's emergency-wing/energy role behind the young wings; he becomes fantasy-relevant only during injury clusters that push him to roughly 16-plus minutes, when he is a short-window steals-and-FG% stream in deep nine-cat leagues.

- Does his point-of-attack defense earn a stable role despite the shooting competition?
